October 30, 2014
The Club's Halloween Parade Float promoted the Exchange Club Program of
Get-Out-The-Vote for the Election Day of November 4th.
FIREFIGHTER AND POLICE ANNUAL RECOGNITION BANQUET
OCTOBER 21, 2014
The club recognized 10 Fire and Police
Departments for their contributions to the community. Departments
recognized were: Pleasant Hill Volunteer Fire Department, Hanover Fire
Department, Penn Township Fire Department, Porters Fire Department, Hanover
Borough Police Department, Southwestern Regional Police Department, McSherrystown Police Department, West Manheim Township Police Department, Penn
Township Police Department, and Southeastern Adams Volunteer Emergency
Services. Each department was presented a monetary donation to use at

The club placed more than 450 American Flags at
the West Manheim Elementary School in Hanover in honor of those who lost
their lives in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

AT HANOVER'S DUTCH DAYS
SATURDAY, JULY 26th
announced to the community, the club would be having a Fifteen Ten Year 9/11 Memorial
Healing Field at West Manheim Elementary School in Hanover in September
2016. Members also handed out literature about Child Abuse Prevention as
well as information on the Exchange Club and all its activities.
Activities Prior to 2014
At the July
17. 2012 Club Meeting, Rachel Lefkowitz (middle), Pediatric Healthcare Service
Coordinator of MDA, Baltimore County presented the club a plaque in
recognition of the club's contributions to the MDA Summer Camps over the
last several years. Accepting the plaque for the club is President
Elect Bob Kirk. Also at the presentation, was Bob and Virginia Kirk's
daughter-in-law (left), Diane Kirk, who spoke about what the camp has done
to help her family cope with their son's disabilities.

Exchange Club President Sid Mobley at the 2012 National Convention in Chandler, AZ.

placed 200 American Flags at Harvest Chapel in Abbottstown, PA. for
the funeral service of Army Specialist Cameron J. Stambaugh of Spring Grove,
PA. Spc. Stambaugh was killed in action while serving his country in
Afghanistan on Sunday, July 8, 2012.

poles on display at the corner of Dart Drive and Eichelberger Street across
from the Famous Hot Weiner on Dart Drive to celebrate

In additional to the float
promoting the club's Americanism Program of Give-A-Kid-A-Flag-to-Wave, the
club gave out about 4000 small 3inch x 5 inch American Flags for Kids of All
Ages to wave during the parade. In addition, the club displayed over
250 3ft X 5ft American Flags on 8ft poles at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hanover
for the Memorial Day activities.
April 28, 2012
In the morning, 7 club members helped plant trees at the new West
Manheim Township Park. Three are pictured in the above photo with
other members of the public who turned out to help.

Later in the day, other members participated in the YWCA Kids Day at Wirt
Park in Hanover. Members, family members, wives and the SWHS Key Club
helped hand out balloons, literature on Child Abuse Prevention, and held
hula hoop contests.

The event was inspirational and a fitting tribute to all
those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks ten years ago and to the
military personnel from south central PA and northern MD, who have lost
there lives in the war against terrorism.
